Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Did You Know?

...that on page xxiv of the 4th Edition of Alcoholics Anonymous it states:
"While our literature has preserved the integrity of the A.A. message, sweeping changes in society as a whole are reflected in new customs and practices within the Fellowship. Taking advantage of technological advances, for example, A.A. members with computers can participate in meetings online, sharing with fellow alcoholics across the country or around the world. In any meeting, anywhere, A.A.'s share experience, strength, and hope with each other, in order to stay sober and help other alcoholics. Modem-to-modem or face-to-face, A.A.'s speak the language of the heart in all its power and simplicity.

Did You Know?

..that there is a special website for Native American Alcoholics at http://www.naigso-aa.org. It's nice and informative and well worth a visit. Spread the word !

..that our District 03-301 has a Remote Community Coordinator Kim H. who visits AA meetings in remote locations of our area. Kim attended the AA meeting in Tuba City on Saturday January 28th at 7p.m. in the hospital. She was accompanied by Valerie, Kari and Roseanne; they were met by Clay & Priscilla O. from Page, Arizona. Kim was given names of AA contacts for the area but she was not able to reach them until a few days after the meeting. Sister Elizabeth and Elaine R. have requested support for the Wednesday 10 a.m. meeting. The hospital is well equipped with AA literature and supplies. Kim spoke with the nurse to see if any alcoholic patients were on the detox ward but no one was checked in at the time. Kim would like to make a commitment to attend this meeting one Friday or Saturday a month. If you would like to be of service please contact Kim at 480 518-0713.
